Stakes-placed Franchise Player came through with his first winner when his son Mr Sox won at Thistledown.

Trained by Nancy Thornton, Mr Sox captured the 5 1/2-furlong race by 2 1/2 lengths in 1:08.06 after in his first start after finishing fourth in the Cleveland Kindergarten Stakes at Thistledown.

An Ohio-bred, Mr Sox is the first foal from the winning Supremo mare Madame Janette, who is a half sister to stakes winners Cast No Shadow and Bad Little Fellow.

Franchise Player (Sea Hero—Antique Chic, by Commemorate) stands at Winterbourne Farm near Chagrin Falls, Ohio. His 2011 fee was private.
