Ken Rudulph, the first person to appear on-air for TVG when it was launched in 1999, will depart the network at the close of the current Del Mar meet.
Rudulph, a TVG host and racing analyst, will return to his hometown of Sacramento to host the TV show, “Good Day Sacramento,” which airs on the CBS affiliates KMAX/KOVR.
“Leaving TVG was a tough decision, but I’ve got the opportunity to take my family back home,” said Rudulph. “Returning as a host on the show where I began my broadcasting career as an intern and then a reporter is coming full circle, and it’s something I couldn’t pass up.”
TVG will launch a national search to find a replacement for Rudulph.
