Article of Faith was represented by his first winner as a stallion when his 2-year-old daughter, Slacker, captured a five-furlong maiden-special-weight race Aug. 18 at Hoosier Park Racing & Casino in Indiana (VIDEO).
Slacker, who won by eight lengths, races for her breeders, Herbert and Darlene Likens. They bred the bay filly in Indiana. Slacker is out of the Lost Soldier mare Senora Soldier.
Article of Faith is an unraced 7-year-old son of Storm Cat. Produced from 2001 Santa Monica Handicap (gr. I) winner Nany’s Sweep (by End Sweep), he is a half brother to Canadian grade III winner She’s Indy Money (by A.P. Indy).
Article of Faith stands at Richwine Farm near Anderson, Ind.
