Mustanfar Sires First Winner

Graded stakes winner Mustanfar   sired his first winner when his son Mukamer won at Finger Lakes Aug. 12. Making his first start, the colt captured the five-furlong race by 1 3/4 lengths in :59.80 for owner River Card Stable (< />VIDEO) .

Bred in Kentucky by the University of Kentucky, Mukamer is one of five winners out of the graded stakes-winning Island Whirl mare Vivano, who was grade I stakes-placed five times.

A two-time grade III winner, Mustanfar (Unbridled—Manwah, by Lyphard) stands at Sheikh Hamdan’s Shadwell Farm near Lexington. His 2011 fee was $3,000.
