Keeneland will produce live coverage of the National Museum of Racing’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Friday, Aug. 12, in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

HRTV will carry the broadcast beginning at 10:30 a.m. EDT. The event also will be streamed live at www.racingmuseum.org. Celebrity chef and racehorse owner Bobby Flay will be the keynote speaker.
“It is an honor for Keeneland’s broadcast team to be involved with such a special project,” said director of broadcast services G.D. Hieronymus. “We congratulate the 2011 inductees and celebrate their significant contributions to racing.”
In addition to broadcast production, Keeneland created video highlights to be shown at the ceremony for each of the 2011 Hall of Fame inductees—Thoroughbreds Duke of Magenta, Open Mind, Safely Kept and Sky Beauty; jockey Shelby “Pike” Barnes; and trainers Matthew Byrnes and Jerry Hollendorfer.
Hammond Communications Group Inc. and Roberts Communications Network will assist Keeneland with the broadcast. The ceremony will be held in the sales pavilion at Fasig-Tipton, who donated use of their facility and production equipment.
