Irish bloodstock agent John McCormack signed the ticket for a Bernardini daughter who sold for $950,000, making her the top-selling filly during the Aug. 8 opening night of the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga select yearling sale. The filly, out of grade I stakes winner Sugar Shake, was consigned by Hill 'n' Dale Sales Agency as agent.
Suger Shake, a daughter of grade II winner Skipping Around, sold for $825,000 at the 2009 Fasig-Tipton November mixed sale to Bowden Global Bloodstock by Adena Springs, who bred the mare. Sugar Shake, by Awesome Again, is the half sister to stakes-placed Explosive Heat (by Touch Gold).
