“Saratoga Day at the Plaza,” where select retailers at Stuyvesant Plaza in Albany, N.Y. will contribute a percentage of their sales to the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund, will take place Aug. 9.

Participating retailers are Casual Set, Crabtree & Evelyn, Evoke Style, Frank Adams Jewelers, Jean Paul Spa & Salon, Paul Grant Richmans, and Sorelle Gallery.

“I would like to thank Stuyvesant Plaza and the retailers who are helping to raise funds to benefit the PDJF which helps support jockeys who have become permanently disabled on the track,” said jockey John Velazquez, board member of the PDJF, in a statement. “I encourage members of the local community to visit these shops on Aug. 9. The support of the public upstate is always greatly appreciated.”

Stuyvesant Plaza is located at the corner of Western Ave. (Route 20) and Fuller Road, about a half mile east of Crossgates Mall.
