Hastings Cancels Friday Card

A cold-like virus has hit the barn area at Hastings Racecourse, forcing cancellation of the Aug. 5 card. 

“These things generally run their course within a week,” said Paul Ryneveld, director of racing at the Canada track. “In the meantime, we are running as scheduled this weekend on Saturday and Sunday (Aug. 6-7, 1:50 p.m. post).”

With a seven-race card set for Aug. 6, the $5,881 Pick 5 Carryover will involve races 3 through 7.
