Graded stakes winner Scipion was represented by his first winner when his daughter Victoria’s Comet scored at Delaware Park Aug. 1. Making her first start since placing in her initial race, Victoria’s Comet won the six-furlong event by 1 1/2 lengths.

Bred in Maryland by Payson Stud, Victoria’s Comet is the fifth winner from as many starters from the stakes-winning Black Tie Affair mare Affair With Molly.

Winner of the Risen Star Stakes (gr. III), Scipion (A.P. Indy--Strawberry Reason, by Strawberry Road) stands at Murmur Farm near Darlington, Md. The farm is owned by E. Allen Murray Jr. and his wife, Audrey. Scipion’s  2011 fee was $5,000.
