Grade I winner Stormello sired his first winner when his daughter Ay Mamita won at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races July 22. Ay Mamita captured the 4 1/2-furlong race by a length in :54.26.
The Kentucky-bred filly, bred by Alleluia Bue, is the second winner out of Argentine-bred Pantaleta (by Equalize).
Winner of the Hollywood Futurity (gr. I) and the Norfolk Breeders’ Cup Stakes (gr. II), Stormello (Stormy Atlantic —Wilshewed, by Carson City) stood at Tom Simon’s Vinery Kentucky near Lexington prior to his death from complications of colic in April.
