NBC Sports Saratoga Coverage Begins July 23

The NBC Sports Group’s seven straight weekends of “Summer at Saratoga” coverage begins Saturday, July 23, with live coverage of the TVG Coaching Club American Oaks (gr. I). The program, from 5-6 p.m. ET on NBC, will include the CCA Oaks for 3-year-old fillies as well as one undercard race.

The “Summer at Saratoga” series will air either on NBC or the VERSUS network.
 
The coverage will be hosted by Tom Hammond, along with retired jockey Gary Stevens, handicapper Mike Battaglia, and reporter Kenny Rice.  NBC will take the race call from Saratoga track announcer Tom Durkin.

Additional programming will include a feature on jockey John Velazquez, who won the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) aboard Animal Kingdom and last year won the Coaching Club American Oaks aboard Devil May Care. There will also be a feature on the storied history of Saratoga.
