Gainesway Farm stallion Broad Brush once again will stand for a private fee and Cozzene's fee will remain at $60,000. Broad Brush, who ranks sixth on the 2001 leading sires list by progeny earnings, stood for an open market fee of $100,000 in 2001, and it appears that amount is right in line for a 2002 breeding. Another farm stallion, Mt. Livermore, who is one spot behind Broad Brush on the sires list, had his fee dropped to $40,000 from $50,000.
Gainesway, which is owned by Graham Beck and located near Lexington, also announced that the fee for Smoke Glacken will come later. He stood for $10,000 in 2001. The other stallions who will stand for five figures in 2002 are Lear Fan ($20,000), Formal Gold ($15,000), and Luhuk ($10,000).
