First U.S. Winner for Teuflesberg

Teuflesberg   got his first U.S. winner July 8 in a maiden special weight at Calder Casino & Race Course.

Trinniberg, a bay colt out of Bella Dorato, by Goldminers Gold, won the $40,000, five-furlong race in :59.24 (VIDEO). The colt is owned by Shivananda Parbhoo and trained by Shivananda’s father Bisnath Parbhoo. J M Stables bred the colt in Kentucky. Shivananda Parbhoo bought him for $21,000 at the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Spring 2-year-olds in training sale.

Teuflesberg is a grade II-winning son of Johannesburg who stands at Journeyman Stud near Ocala, Fla. He stood for $3,500 this season. The stallion’s first winner is This One for Me, who won a maiden claiming race May 21 at Hipodromo de las Americas in Mexico City. The bay colt has since won a second time.
