Journeyman Stud stallionSaint Anddan had his first winner June 26 at Hollywood Park when his 2-year-old daughter Woebegon scored by 3 1/4 lengths after a pacesetting effort. Wobegon ran the five furlongs in :57.74 for owner Jay Em Ess Stable.
Bred in Florida by Journeyman owners Brent and Crystal Fernung, Woebegon is out of the unraced Montbrook mare Wontoo, who is a half sister to stakes-placed Wonone. The family descends from the champion 3-year-old filly Our Mims, a half sister to Alydar.
Wobegon went through this year’s Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co.’s April sale of 2-year-olds in training, where he was purchased by Jay Em Es for $125,000. He was consigned by Journeyman Bloodstock, agent.
Saint Anddan (A.P. Indy—Adoradancer, by Danzig Connection) scored his biggest win in the 2007 Churchill Downs Handicap (gr. II). His fee at Journeyman, located near Ocala, Fla., is $4,500.
