A contingent of Southern California horses competing in the Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships is scheduled to ship to New York on Oct. 23.
Among those on the plane will be Tranquility Lake (Distaff or Turf) and Val Royal (Mile), two Julio Canani trained horses who will work once more prior to shipping; Caller One (Sprint), who drilled six furlongs in 1:12.40 Saturday at Hollywood Park for trainer Jim Chapman; and Came Home (Juvenile).
In other California news:
--Reigning Horse of the Year and defending Breeders' Cup Classic champion Tiznow (Classic) will work Thursday and ship Saturday, said trainer Jay Robbins;
--Tempera (Juvenile Fillies) worked six furlongs Sunday in 1:12.80 for Eoin Harty; and
--Kona Gold (Sprint) will work an easy five furlongs Tuesday, said trainer Bruce Headley.
