Heads Will Roll and Love n' Kiss S. took split divisions of Sunday's Belmont Park feature, the Pebbles Handicap (gr. III) for 3-year-old fillies.

Heads Will Roll closed strongly to post a one-length victory in the $110,100 first section. New Economy was second, a half-length in front of Salty You.

The win was the first in four starts this year for Heads Will Roll who covered 1 1/8 miles in 1:47 3/5 to earn $66,060 for Jerome and John W. Amerman.

Heads Will Roll, a British-bred daughter of Efisio trained by Hall of Famer Bobby Frankel for Jerome and John W. Amerman returned $6.30 ,$4.20 and $3.40 as the favorite. New Economy paid $13.20 and $8.40 and Salty You was $5.60.

The victory was the first in four starts for Heads Will Roll since being imported to the U.S. earlier this year after beginning her career in France.

Love n' Kiss S., a daughter of Kris S. bred in Kentucky by Darby Dan Farm, registered a head victory in the $110,600 second division. Calista closed fast to take second with favored Shooting Party third.

Love n' Kiss S. covered 1 1/8 miles in 1:47:2 to win for the third time in seven starts this year and earn $66,160 for Lael Stable.

The winner returned $12.20, $6.30 and $3.70. Calista paid $4.60 and $2.70 and Shooting Party was $3.00.
