Longshot Blissful Kiss beat Ms Brookski by three lengths in Saturday's $400,000 My Dear Girl division of the Florida Stallion Stakes for 2-year-olds fillies at Calder Race Course. Blissful Kiss, ridden by Cornelio Velasquez, covered 1 1/16 miles in 1:46 and paid $46, $17.60 and $12.60. Ms Brookski returned $6.20 and $5.20. Sweep Princess paid $7 to show. Blissful Kiss, a daughter of Kissin Kris and owned by John Franks, has two wins in five starts and career earnings of $324,780.
In the $400,000 In Reality division, favored Booklet won by 4 1/2 lengths. In the In Reality division, Booklet, ridden by Eibar Coa, covered 1 1/16 miles in 1:46.4 and paid $3.80, $3.20 and $3. Rulebook returned $18 and $11. Cary's Gold paid $4.60 to show. A son of Notebook owned by trainer Steve Klesaris, Booklet has won four of five races and earned $339,700.
In a pair of $200,000 races, Fappie's Notebook won the Smile Sprint Handicap and Sara's Success won the Calder Oaks.
Fappie's Notebook, ridden by Jorge Chavez, paid $5.80, $4.20 and $3.20. Thrillin Discovery returned $15.60 and $8, and Salty Glance paid $6.40 to show.
Fappie's Notebook, a 4-year-old daughter of Notebook, won for the seventh time in 14 starts and raised her career earnings to $365,655.
Sara's Success, ridden by Velasquez, won the Calder Oaks for 3-year-old fillies by 1 3/4 lengths, paying $10.80, $7 and $3.80. Grey Ballet returned $12.20 and $5.80. Sheppard's Watch paid $3 to show. A daughter of Concorde's Tune, owned by Thorobeam Farm, Sara's Success won for the seventh time in 16 starts and has career earnings of $249,834.
