Jockeys sign calendars on Belmont Stakes Day.

Several jockeys who will be riding in the Belmont Stakes (gr. I) later in the afternoon June 11 spent part of their morning signing calendars in which they posed for ‘beefcake’ photos. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the calendars will go to benefit the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund.

On a rainy morning just off the saddling paddock, jockeys Javier Castellano (Stay Thirsty), Edgar Prado (Prime Cut), Ramon Dominguez (Mucho Macho Man), and John Velazquez (Animal Kingdom) sat in a merchandising tent signing the calendars. Business was brisk as customers lined up to secure the calendars and autographs.

Award-winning photographer Barbara Livingston took the photographs for the calendar, which features the male jockeys in either topless or suggestive poses.
