Juddmonte Farms to Stand Aptitude Following Racing Career

Recent Jockey Club Gold Cup (gr. I) winner Aptitude will join fellow grade/group I winners Distant View and Chester House at the Juddmonte Farms of his breeder and owner, Khalid Abdullah, when he is retired from racing. Aptitude (A.P. Indy--Dokki, by Northern Dancer) is scheduled to run in the World Thoroughbred Championships Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I) at Belmont Park Oct. 27, then head to Juddmonte.
Aptitude is credited with five wins from 14 starts, one of which came via disqualification in the Hollywood Gold Cup (gr. I) in July. He also won the Saratoga Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. II) in August and was second in last year's Kentucky Derby (gr. I) and Belmont Stakes (gr. I). His 10-length Gold Cup victory received a Beyer Speed Figure of 123, the highest of any horse in training this year. Aptitude is trained by Robert Frankel.
