Country Only Sires First Winner

New York stakes winner Country Only came through with his first winner when his son Winstontariat won in his first start. An Ohio-bred homebred for Rebecca Holton, Winstontariat captured a maiden special weight race at six furlongs by 2 1/2 lengths at River Downs June 1.

Country Only (Carson City—Only Maisie, by Stalwart) captured the 2000 Whirlaway Stakes and the Count Fleet Stakes, both at Aqueduct, and earned a career total of $389,906. He stands for $3,500 at Naylee Farm near Summit Point, W.Va.
