Hobeau Farm's grade II winner Put It Back, undefeated in five starts at 3 this year, has been retired due to an injury and will enter stud at Arthur I. Appleton's Bridlewood Farm in Ocala, Fla.

The multiple stakes winner is a son of Honour and Glory and is out of the winning Exuberant mare Miss Shoplifter.

Put It Back won all five of his 2001 in wire-to-wire fashion, including the six-furlong Best Turn Stakes at Aqueduct and the seven-furlong Riva Ridge Stakes (gr. II) on the Belmont Stakes undercard. He beat a stellar field in the Riva Ridge that included Flame Thrower, Touch Tone, and Express Tour. At 2, Put It Back was second and third in two starts.

Bred in Florida by Jack Dreyfus' Hobeau Farm, Put It Back was trained by Hall of Famer Allen Jerkens. Put It Back had a 5-1-1 record from seven starts and earned $232,895.

He will stand the 2002 season for a fee of $5,000 live foal.
