Fuller's Former N.H. Farm Has New Owners

Runnymede Farm, the New Hampshire nursery founded by prominent Thoroughbred breeder and owner Peter Fuller, has new owners, according to Seacoastonline.com.

Al and Donna Perkins have purchased the farm for an undisclosed amount from Bret and Lori Devenport, according to Carole-Terese Naser, the nursery’s new general manager.

Seacoastonline.com reported June 2 that, based on public assessing records, the Devenports purchased the 3.2-acre farm near North Hampton from Fuller for $325,000 on Aug. 19, 1998. Records state the property now has an assessed value of $421,700.

According to the Seacoastonline.com story, Naser said it was critical to the Devenports that the buyers agreed to keep horses on the property "as an integral part of the Runnymede legacy." The Perkinses have begun renovating the farm.

Fuller bred and raced champion and racing Hall of Fame member Mom’s Command and Dancer’s Image, who was disqualified after finishing first in the 1968 Kentucky Derby.
