The Michael Baze Memorial Fund has been established to help defray the funeral expenses for the late jockey, according to a May 30 Hollywood Park press release. Anyone wishing to contribute can do so at any Bank of America.

Any money that is not needed for the funeral will be donated to the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund, said a spokesperson for Baze’s mother, Teri Gibson.

Hollywood Park will hold a public memorial for Baze, who died May 10 at the age of 24, immediately after the races June 4 in Southern California. The tribute will be in the Sunset Room.
