Indiana Downs Sustains Storm Damage

Indiana Downs near Shelbyville, Ind., sustained damage from a severe storm that ripped through the area May 26.

According to local news reports, a barn and the racing office complex were damaged at the track located about 20 miles southeast of Indianapolis. The roof of the racing office was blow off in the storm.

Also, a storage building near the track’s Indiana Live! casino was damaged.

Indiana Downs was closed for live racing May 26 but also had to suspend full-card simulcasts pending restoration of power, according to Shelby County news reports.
