Maryland Million At Pimlico

For the first time in nine years, the festive Maryland Million celebration will be conducted at historic Pimlico Racecourse. Focal point of the day is the 11-race card for offspring of Maryland stallions. More than a million dollars in purses are up for grabs for Thoroughbreds of all ages and both sexes.
The $200,000 Maryland Million Classic for older horses tops the card. Testing, the defending champion, is one of nine entered to start in the 1 3/16 mile test. Gates open at 10:30 a.m.
