A homebred for Hidden Point Farm, Pennsylvania-bred Suntorious is the first winner out of the Honor Grades mare Gratorious.

A full brother to Eclipse Award winner Ashado, Sunriver (Saint Ballado—Goulash, by Mari's Book) scored his biggest win in the 2007 Hollywood Turf Cup Stakes (gr. IT). He stood at Vinery New York near Hudson, N.Y., prior to his death in August 2009.
