Derby Winner Sir Percy Sires First Winner

Sir Percy  , winner of the 2006 Vodafone Epsom Derby (Eng-I), sired his first winner when his son Percy Jackson scored at Bath Racecourse May 16. Bred in Great Britain by Clive Dennett, Percy Jackson is out of the Hernando mare Fly In Style.

Sir Percy was an English champion the year of his Epsom Derby score. He also ran second in that year’s Stan James Two Thousand Guineas (Eng-I). At 2, Sir Percy won the Darley Dewhurst Stakes (Eng-I) and the Veuve Clicquot Stakes (Eng-II) and was a divisional champion. Raced by A.E. Pakenham, he was retired with five wins from 10 starts and earnings of $2,150,350
