Maram, the 2008 Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf winner who was retired from racing recently, will be bred to Giant's Causeway this year. She is owned by Karen N. Woods.
In addition to the Juvenile Fillies Turf, Maram won the Miss Grillo Stakes (gr. IIIT) at 2 and was a stakes winner in 2009-10. She was retired with five wins from 10 starts and earnings of $900,320.
Maram, by Sahm, raced as a homebred for Woods and Saud bin Khaled, who died Jan. 31. Maram resides at Chanteclair Farm, owned by bin Khaled’s estate, near Versailles, Ky.
Maram’s dam, American Dreamer (by Quest for Fame), produced a Jazil filly May 9.
