Nasty Storm, winner of Keeneland's Raven Run Stakes will be offered by Eaton Sales in the upcoming Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale. The 3-year-old daughter of Gulch from the Graustark mare A Stark Is Born has now won three stakes including the grade III Dogwood at Churchill and the Weekend Delight at Turfway Park and amassed earnings of $449,089 ...Tim Ritchey set the record for most wins by a trainer a Delaware Park meet by saddling his 76th winner of the meet today. Allen Iwinski set the previous record, 75 wins, last year. Ritchey, who has been leading trainer at Delaware Park in 1996, 1994, 1993, and 1992 set the record with Prince of Valor, a 5-year-old Florida-bred son of Premiership owned by Walter Wienkowitz, who notched a 2 1/4-length score in the fourth race. ... Texas Champions Day, a celebration of horses, owners and breeders in Texas, will be held Dec. 1 at Sam Houston Race Park. In conjunction, the Houston racetrack will host the Texas Champions Day Equine Expo. The Equine Expo will be held in the Pavilion Centre at Sam Houston Race Park Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 from 1:00 - 9:00 p.m. A diverse array of booth exhibitors will display equine merchandise, services and products geared to not only racing, but also all equine-related interests. ... Susan Rundell was named director of marketing and publicity at Retama Park. Rundell replaces Doug Vair, who left in August to become director of operations for the San Bernardino Stampede.
