TVG will present special Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) and Oaks (gr. I) programming, featuring on-site coverage from Churchill Downs in Louisville.

TVG’s coverage kicks off May 5 with a one-hour Kentucky Oaks handicapping show airing at 8:00 p.m. EDT. Originating from TVG studios in Los Angeles, the show will discuss the Oaks’ field, update the latest news surrounding the next day’s running of the $1 million Oaks, and offer handicapping selections from TVG’s racing analysts. The Oaks handicapping show will re-air several times the night of May 5 and the morning of May 6.

On May 6, TVG’s coverage will focus on the next day’s $2 million Run for the Roses, as TVG presents a one-hour Derby handicapping show, also airing at 8:00 p.m. EDT. Again hosted from Los Angeles, the show will feature Todd Schrupp and Simon Bray on-site at Churchill Downs where they will set the scene. The Derby handicapping special will also examine each Derby entrant, discuss the latest news on the race, and will be highlighted by TVG’s team of racing analysts offering their wagering choices. Like the Oaks program, the Derby show will re-air several times Friday night and Saturday morning.

TVG’s big weekend of coverage for racing’s first leg of the Triple Crown concludes May 7, as throughout the day Schrupp and Bray will provide frequent reports from Churchill Downs, including interviews and behind-the-scenes updates.

“The Kentucky Derby is America’s most famous horse race, while the Kentucky Oaks is an important showcase for the sport’s top three-year-old fillies, so we are excited to offer our viewers and account holders programming focusing on both events,” said Tony Allevato, TVG senior vice president and executive producer, in a release. “Our goal is to help our viewers experience all the color and pageantry associated with these great American sporting events.”

TVG account holders can wager on all Churchill Downs races at www.tvg.com.
