New Jersey invader Debby D'Or posted a 1 1/4 length win in the first division of the $100,000 Honorable Miss Handicap (gr. III) at Saratoga Racecourse. Since the Honorable Miss drew an overflow field of 19 fillies and mare it was split into two divisions.
Under jockey Shane Sellers, Debby D'Or went six furlongs over the muddy track in 1:10.11, with Tropical Punch taking second, and Katz Me If You Can rounding out the top three.
The 12-1 shot paid $26.80. Debby D'Or is owned by Albert Lobrillo and trained by Daniel Switzer.
Debby D'Or entered the Honorable Miss on a three race win streak, scoring in a May 29 allowance race before registering back-to-back stakes scores in the June 18 Klassy Briefcase Stakes and the July 16 John McSotley Stakes, all at Monmouth Park.
