Millionaire Mutamam Purchased By National Stud

Millionaire Mutamam, whose victory in the Sept. 30 Canadian International Stakes (Can-IT) set him up nicely for his farewell race in the Oct. 27 World Thoroughbred Championships Breeders' Cup Turf (gr. IT), will enter stud at the National Stud in Newmarket, England. According to the Racing Post. the National Stud privately purchased the 6-year-old son of Darshaan from Sheikh Hamdan. His fee will be £6,000.
Mutamam, who ran fourth in last year's Breeders' Cup Turf, has won 11 of 20 races and sports a record of three stakes wins from four starts this year. He has captured seven career stakes and has earnings of $1,388,410. His stakes-placed dam, Petal Girl (by Caerleon), is a half-sister to European champion Mtoto.
