Half Ours Sires First Winner

Half Ours  , a grade II winner, sired his first winner when his daughter Zingwella won Thursday, April 21 at Gulfstream Park in her first start. Part of the favored 9-10 entry, Zingwella got out to the lead and captured the 2 1/2-furlong race by 1 1/4 lengths in :27.34 (VIDEO). She races for her trainer, Wesley Ward, and Ice Wine Stable.

The other half of the entry, Fan Out, ran third. She also is trained and co-owned by Ward.

Bred in Kentucky by James H. Glover, Zingwella is the third winner from three starters from stakes winner Ms Well (by Mister Jolie).

Half Ours (Unbridled's Song  —Zing, by Storm Cat) won the Three Chimneys Juvenile Stakes at 2 and the Richter Scale Sprint Championship Handicap (gr. II) at 4. He stands for $4,500 at Clear Creek Stud near Folsom, La.
