The Thoroughbred Corp.'s Arabian Light did not disappoint as the 3-5 favorite when he posted his second victory in as many lifetime starts with a five-length victory over Stocks Are Rising in the $125,000 Graduation Stakes for 2-year-olds at Del Mar. The California-bred colt was ridden by David Flores for trainer Bob Baffert. Rocky's Crew, ridden by Alex Solis, who had four winners on the card, was third.

Carrying 117 pounds, Arabian Light covered 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:03 4/5 and paid $3.20, $2.40 and $2.10. With the winner's purse of $75,000 Arabian Light has earned $100,800. The son of Fly So Free won his only previous start, at Hollywood Park in June.

Produced from the Majestic Light mare Heartlight, Arabian Light was bred by Kenneth Reinsh. Baffert acquired Arabian Light on behalf of The Thoroughbred Corp. for $700,000 from the Sequel Bloodstock consignment to this year's Barretts Equine Ltd.'s March 2-year-olds in training sale. Sequel had purchased the Graduation winner for $60,000 from Havens Bloodstock Agency at last year's California Thoroughbred Sales August yearling sale.
