Blame  , the 2010 champion older male and winner of the 2010 Breeders’ Cup Classic (gr. I), had his first two mares confirmed in foal last week.

Promptly, owned by London Thoroughbred Services and George Strawbridge Jr., was the first mare pronounced in foal. The stakes-placed daughter of Lead On Time is the dam of English group winner Fantastic View and English group II-placed Weald Park.

Silk Briefcase, the other mare in foal to Blame, is by Marlin and is the dam of multiple grade II winner Briecat. Silk Briefcase is owned by Nancy C. Shuford.

Blame (Arch  —Liable, by Seeking the Gold) stands for $35,000 at the Hancock family’s Claiborne Farm near Paris, Ky.
