Lane’s End Farm has reported the first four mares have been scanned in foal to grade I winner Discreetly Mine . A 4-year-old son of Mineshaft who won the grade I King’s Bishop Stakes last year, Discreetly Mine has a full book of mares for his inaugural season at Lane’s End, where he stands for a $15,000 fee.
One of the first mares scanned in foal to the stallion who had the highest Beyer speed figure last year for any 3-year-old at any distance is multiple stakes winner Pure Wool, the dam of grade I winner Pure As Gold and stakes-placed Pure American.
Another is Seasonal, a daughter of grade III stakes winner Cymbala, dam of multiple stakes winner and grade II-placed Stay Close and Canadian stakes-placed Catch Air.
So Very Happy, also in foal to Discreetly Mine, is a 4-year-old half sister to Platinum Couple, 2010 champion older horse in Ecuador, graded stakes winner Dance Away Capote, and stakes-placed Cavan Thunder.
Saucey Officer, a winning half sister to grade III winner Chiefofthetribe, stakes winner Daniel My Brother, and two stakes-placed runners, is also in foal to Discreetly Mine.
