Tom Ludt

Tom Ludt, a Breeders' Cup director, will chair the organization’s search committee for a successor to president and CEO Greg Avioli, who resigned last week. The announcement was made March 7 by Breeders’ Cup chairman Bill Farish.
 
The Breeders' Cup board of directors formed the committee at a meeting March 7. Joining Ludt on the committee are directors Helen Alexander, Antony Beck, Jerry Crawford, and Richard Santulli. The search process will begin immediately with the committee to provide an update to the board at its next scheduled meeting in April.
 
During the search process, Breeders' Cup COO/CFO Matthew Lutz and Breeders' Cup senior vice president of sales Carter Carnegie will serve as the interim co-chief executive officers and will oversee the company's day-to-day operations.
