Blood-Horse Publications has announced some recent internal changes that will allow the organization to work more efficiently and be more responsive to its customers.
Jim Hurst has been appointed to the position of The Blood-Horse sales director and will work in tandem with Lara Levine, who has been retained as advertising business director, to effect this development both inside and outside the company.
Hurst has been a sales representative for The Blood-Horse for 23 years, handling many of the publication’s key accounts throughout his tenure. He also has a strong consultative sales background outside the industry as well. In his new role, Hurst will continue to focus on direct communication with clients to identify and provide total marketing solutions. The feedback he receives will be instrumental in shaping future products, services, and programs.
Levine’s background in the industry includes nearly 20 years sales and marketing, most recently in multimedia sales, marketing, and production for Hammond Communications as its director of equine development. She has extensive experience in developing custom solutions for marketing and communication. Levine will be charged with ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction as well as facilitating the future development of marketing solutions for both internal and external customers.
In addition, Shelley Partridge has returned to The Blood-Horse and joins Terry Leffel as a national products and service sales representative. Partridge has more than 35 years of hands-on horse experience, including a 10-year previous stint at The Blood-Horse. Her knowledge of the industry, coupled with a strong sales and marketing background, gives her an affinity for developing creative marketing and sales plans.
