TOBA to Host Conformation, Pedigree Clinic
The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association will hold a Thoroughbred pedigree and conformation clinic Friday, March 11--Saturday, March 12, in Ocala, Fla. The clinic, sponsored by Blood-Horse Publications, will feature conformation presentations and live evaluations as well as pedigree discussions that will include nicking, dosage, outcrossing, and inbreeding. Clinic speakers will include George Isaacs, Eddie Woods, Alex Kershaw, Dr. Kent Cantrell, and Jeff Schwietert. The clinic will feature tours of Live Oak Stud and Ocala Equine Hospital. A complete agenda can be viewed here. The clinic will begin at 8 a.m. at the Ocala Breeders’ Sales pavilion. The registration fee for the clinic is $187.50 for TOBA members and $300 for non-members and includes all support materials, breakfast, and lunch. The TOBA member rate reflects a significantly discounted rate in honor of the 50th anniversary of the organization. Throughout 2011 TOBA will extend discounted rates on seminars and clinics to its members.
