Uncle Mo , winner of the 2010 Gray Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (gr. I), topped week one of the 2011 National Thoroughbred Racing Association 3-year-old poll, which covers racing performances through Feb. 27.
The son of Indian Charlie, who has not yet raced in 2011, is trained by Todd Pletcher for Mike Repole and received 207 votes in the poll. Ranking second with 177 votes was Soldat, who scored in the Feb. 26 Fasig-Tipton Fountain of Youth Stakes (gr. II) and also won an allowance race at Gulfstream Park in January.
Other horses ranking in the top 10 of the poll included 2011 graded stakes victors Dialed In , winner of the Jan. 31 Holy Bull (gr. III); Mucho Macho Man, winner of the Feb. 19 Risen Star (gr. II); Flashpoint, winner of the Feb. 26 Hutcheson (gr. II); The Factor , winner of the Feb. 20 San Vicente (gr. II); and Brethren, winner of the Feb. 12 Sam F. Davis (gr. III). 2011 Graded stakes-placed runners To Honor and Serve and Gourmet Dinner were also included.
