Oaklawn Park has increased the purse for the March 12 Razorback Handicap by $25,000 and the 1 1/16-mile race for 4-year-olds and older will now be worth $125,000.
First run in 1960, the Razorback is the last local prep before the $350,000 Oaklawn Handicap (gr. II) scheduled this year for April 9. Among its most notable winners have been champion Temperence Hill, Kentucky Derby (gr. I) winner Lil E. Tee, Silver Goblin, Mr Ross, Magna Graduate and Jonesboro.
