Monba's First Foal is Pennsylvania-Bred Colt

The first foal by grade I winner Monba   was born Feb. 15 at Michael Jester’s Penn Ridge Farms near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Bred in Pennsylvania by Ed Shamy, Sr., the colt is out the winning mare Derby Day Rally.

Monba, a 6-year-old son of Maria's Mon who won the Toyota Blue Grass Stakes (gr. I) at Keeneland in 2008, stands at Penn Ridge Farms near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. His 2011 fee is $4,000.
