Istintaj, Mr. Groush to Louisiana

Graded stakes winners Istintaj and Mr. Groush will stand at John Pomier’s Pomerosa Farms near Duson, La. Each will stand for $1,000. They formerly stood at Weatherly Horse Farms in New Mexico.

Fifteen-year-old Istintaj (Nureyev—Mathkurh, by Riverman) is the sire of 2011 stakes winner Gila Girl and earlier stakes-placed runners Comfy Lead and Fast Istintaj. As a racehorse, Istintaj won the Deputy Minister Handicap (gr. III) and the Mr. Prospector Handicap (gr. III).

Seventeen-year-old Mr. Groush (Crafty Prospector—Clint’s Sec, by Secretariat) is the sire of stakes-placed runners Ocean Joe, S L R Lonesomedove, and Thelawyersgetitall. Mr. Groush won three stakes, including the Alabama Derby (gr. III).
