Multiple grade I winner Life At Ten worked for the first time this year Feb. 13, covering three eighths of a mile in an easy :38.50 at Palm Meadows Training Center in Florida.

The 6-year-old mare finished 11th in the 2010 Breeders’ Cup Ladies Classic (gr. I) and her performance was a source of controversy that still has not been resolved. The Kentucky Horse Racing Commission is conducting an investigation.

Trainer Todd Pletcher hasn’t targeted a race for Life At Ten, who is a daughter of Malibu Moon  .

“I don’t know if she’d be ready for something like the (April 2) Rampart (gr. II) at a 1 1/8 miles,” he said. “We’ll have to play it by ear.”
