Was a good second here going a mile in good time then came back and was third at Jebel Ali on the dirt. Looks ready to graduate here for Satish Seemar. PRIME PREACHER (Pulpit) was a good second in a maiden here two starts back then ran well when moved up in class next time out. He is the highest rated horse in the race. ENERGIA CENTRAL (Fahim) ran well in Brazil last season and has three races here to get ready for this.
Selections:
#2     LORD TIGER
#12   PRIME PREACHER
#8     ENERGIA CENTRAL

$16,300 for Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere 3YO and up
For horses rated 55-75

This race will be run out of a chute down the backstretch. DAN CHILLINGWORTH (Indian Ridge) comes from the potent Doug Watson/Tadhq O’Shea combo. This one loves all-weather tracks and comes in here off a good third against better handicap foes. AFRICANUS (Dubai Millennium) was a good second behind the top choice two starts back then raced evenly against better. Has to tote high weight but gets a seven-pound apprentice allowance. FANTASTIC DUBAI (Storm Cat) Has been second in his last two starts going a mile in good time.
Selections:
#4   DAN CHILLINGWORTH
#1   AFRICANUS
#5   FANTASTIC DUBAI

Race 3: Al Basti Equiworld Handicap
About six furlongs. On the Tapeta main track
$19,050 for Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere 3+
For horses rated 65-85

This race will be run out of a chute down the backstretch. INDIAN SKIPPER (Indian Danehill) was a good second here last out against similar going six furlongs in good time when he drew post 12 and had to press the pace while wide. Just missed two starts back in faster time against better. CEEDWELL (Exceed and Excel) was a sharp winner here last out in his second start off the layoff and could be tough if he’s still improving. QAMAR (Pivotal) broke his maiden on the all-weather track at Wolverhamption two starts back then drew post 12 here going a mile last out.
Selections:
#2   INDIAN SKIPPER
#4   CEEDWELL
#5   QAMAR

Race 4: Al Basti Equiworld Handicap
About one mile on the Tapeta main track
$20,400 for Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere 3 and up
For horses rated 75-90

This race will be run around one turn on the main track. Many of these horses are just on the edge of being eligible to race in the Dubai International Racing Carnival and need a good performance here. CADRE (King’s Best) has more than enough back class to handle these. Ran well here a year ago going ten furlongs and didn’t show much in his return to the races on the dirt at Jebel Ali. Only picks up a few pounds off that effort on the class dropdown. WEST EMIRATES (Lion Heart) was a sharp winner here last out going a mile in good time carrying similar weight. He loves all-weather tracks but has to overcome post 13. ZAFEEN SPEED (Zafeen) has won two in a row here at Meydan and carried this impost last time out going a mile.
Selections:
#1    CADRE
#5    WEST EMIRATES
#6    ZAFEEN SPEED

Race 5: Al Basti Equiworld Handicap
About one mile on the Tapeta main track
$24,500 for Northern Hemisphere & Southern Hemisphere 3 & Up
For horses rated 85-100
This race will start down the backstretch with a long run to the far turn. This race has many horses that are eligible to race in the Dubai International Racing Carnival who need a race. KAVANGO (Cape Cross) was a good third on the turf last out in France behind LOCHINVER who ran mid-pack here last week in the Carnival. He’s never been on the all-weather but he certainly has the pedigree for it and trains on it every day. COMRADESHIP (Dubawi) didn’t show much in his two Carnival starts on the turf but he was a good winner here on the Tapeta going seven furlongs in very fast time. COMMANDER CAVE (Tale of the Cat) was a good third last out here going a mile and was extremely impressive two starts back going seven in very fast time.

Selections:
#6   KAVANGO
#5   COMRADESHIP
#4   COMMANDER CAVE

Race 6:  Al Basti Equiworld Handicap
About 1 1/4 miles on the Tapeta main track
$19,050 Northern Hemisphere & Southern Hemisphere 3 and up
For horses rated 65-85

This race will be run around two turns with a decent run into the first turn. RADEGUND ABBEY (Nayef) was a good winner in his all-weather debut here going this distance from post 12. He draws the same post again and should be tough with a race over the track. JADAL (A.p. Indy) is a former Kiaran McLaughlin runner that makes his  UAE debut that is bred to run all day. He ran well on the all-weather at Keeneland going nine furlongs and should like today’s distance. MUSHREQ (Distorted Humor) was a good second behind the top choice last out here and draws post three again.

Selections:
#3   RADEGUND ABBEY
#1   JADAL
#8   MUSHREQ
