Chestertown Slew Sires First Foal

The first foal by New York stakes-placed Chestertown Slew is a filly born Jan. 21 at Kathy Paul’s Fanlew Farms near Sarepta, La.. The filly is out Rachele R’s Angel (by Thunder Gulch  ).

“She’s a very well-made filly with a lot of bone and besides her color, she is a carbon copy of her sire,” Paul said.

Chestertown Slew (Seattle Slew--Hansel’s Girl, by Hansel) stands at Fanlew. His 2011 fee is $1,000 live foal stands and nurses.
