Outflanker to Shamrock in Maryland

Outflanker  , who has sired 36 stakes horses, has been relocated to T.J. Rooney’s Shamrock Farms near Woodbine, Md., where he will stand for $3,000 in 2011.

A 17-year-old son of Danzig, Outflanker has sired graded stakes winners Bayou's Lassie and Bushwacker, plus Maryland Million winners Apple Special, Kosmo’s Buddy, and Jacks On the Rocks, whose Million win came in 2010. Outflanker also is the sire of Annabill, an eight-time stakes winner at Calder Race Course, and two foreign champions.

Outflanker has sired 249 winners from 317 starters—an exceptional 79% winners from runners. He has career progeny earnings of more than $20 million and his average earnings per runner is more than $63,000.

Outflanker is a half brother to graded stakes winner Bite the Bullet and the dam of European champion Duke of Marmalade. Outflanker’s dam, stakes-placed Lassie’s Lady (by Alydar), is a half sister to the dam of A.P. Indy and Summer Squall.

Outflanker formerly stood at Maryland Stallion Station near Butler, Md. Shamrock has purchased Maryland Stallion Station’s interest in Outflanker and will assume the duties of syndicate manager.
