Ending weeks of speculation, Godolphin announced Saturday that Juddmonte International Stakes (Eng-I) winner Sakhee will be entered in the Oct. 7 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (Fr-I) at Longchamp.

"He will run provided the ground is not too heavy," Sheikh Hamdan al Maktoum told the Racing Post, while adding that the colt's main goal remains the Dubai Champion Stakes. "That is his main target, but it is 13 days (after the Arc), so I don't know."

In just his second start as a 4-year-old, Sakhee drew off to a seven-length triumph over a strong field in the extended 10-furlong Juddmonte International, then followed that up with an impressive work Sept. 22 with jockey Frankie Dettori in the irons. The son of Bahri has won six of nine career starts and finished second to Sinndar in the 2000 Vodafone Epsom Derby (Eng-I).
