To Honor And Serve

Live Oak Plantation’s To Honor and Serve  , the second highweighted colt on the 2010 Experimental Free Handicap, breezed five furlongs in 1:04 1/5 at Payson Park Training Center Jan. 31. The workout by the son of Bernardini   was ninth best among 17 working the distance at the training center.

High on nearly every list of contenders for the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I), To Honor and Serve has won three of four starts, with one second, and earned $264,640 for trainer Bill Mott. The colt was second in his career debut and then broke his maiden and won the Nashua and Remsen Stakes, both grade II stakes at Aqueduct.

On the Experimental, To Honor and Serve was weighted at 123 pounds, five below high weight and Eclipse champion Uncle Mo.
