Another winter storm has resulted in cancelation of live racing Thursday, Jan. 27, at Aqueduct in New York and Laurel Park in Maryland.
According to weather.com, the New York City area received 15 inches of snow late Wednesday and early Thursday.
Also late Wednesday, snow was falling at a rate of one to two inches per hour in Baltimore, Maryland.
The cancelations are the second in a row for Laurel and third this year for Aqueduct. Both tracks and off-track sites were scheduled to remain open Thursday for simulcasting.
Also, Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races in West Virginia canceled live racing for the evening of Jan. 27 but plans to resume racing Jan. 28.
